Winter Sadhana

Winter Sadhana / Act of Power
Each quarter at this site we invite you to participate in a new ‘sadhana’ or Act of Power. This quarter’s sadhana/act of power is as follows:

Winter arrives with the magic snow crystals dotting the landscape creating a winterland that delights the imagination. This season offers us the contrast of the red cardinal against the bright white snow, the deep dark nights with the star patterns of Yunsai, the White Buffalo etched in the early morning sky, and the warmth of the pine trees, where the snow melts while it remains in other places. Winter is a time to cuddle, to eat warm foods, hot apple cider and cinnamon buns. Dreams of spring by a hot fire, holding loved ones close, a time of generosity.

Daily Creating Your Day/Choose Your Day

Before you go to sleep at night, journal your successes from the day. Review the places that didn't go as well as expected, and ask yourself, "What's my payoff?" for there being no results. Thoroughly write out your solutions, and journal the vision you have of what your success looks like.

Distill your journaling down to formulate a complete sentence which states what your completed project looks like, or states what you would like to achieve. For example, you could say, "I am Vice President of Sales as of June 1, 2006." Always word your goal in the present tense, as you are training your brain to understand that you have already achieved this result.

Now take a 3"x5" card, and on the blank side (without lines) write out your statement of what you would like to accomplish. Make it a complete sentence and focus on one item per card.

Now, read your card at least three times a day: morning, noon and night, before going to sleep. Read your cards without fail, regularly and with focused attention. Allow yourself to picture and visualize your statement on each card when you read it, so that you get in touch with the feeling of the completed result.

Watch for your results. Journal your progress toward your goals as you accomplish the interim steps, and don't be afraid to make any adjustments that bring the completed result into great clarity or focus.

Enjoy your results!!!
